Parents want the best for their children. The early years are a prime time for helping a child learn to form relationships and for building the foundation for future language and literacy proficiency. Raising Readers is committed to helping adults who interact with young children know how to provide experiences that maximize their child's development in these areas.

Raising Readers in Story County works with families throughout Story County to ensure that all children are reading at grade-level by the end of third grade. This is when the switch from 'learning to read' to 'reading to learn' happens in a child's school career. RRSC offers many programs throughout the year in communities throughout Story County focused on developing language and literacy skills for children from birth to age eight.
